My journey into UX started when I made the difficult decision to shift careers. After over ten years in education, I longed for greater opportunities for professional growth, creativity and self-determination.

Admittedly, my formation in formal UX strategies and tools is recent. However, I have a well articulated design process honed through years of classroom instruction: identifying [student learning] needs, designing [student-centered, instructional] solutions and iterating this process continually in response to formal assessments measured against institutional goals.

In addition to a teacher's certification, I have two bachelors degrees in civil engineering and theater and a masters degree in Spanish linguistics. I think I bring an invaluable and uncommon perspective to problem solving.
